Brief Description
Temporary Supported Housing for periods ranging from 6 months to 2 years for single people and families who are homeless. No waiting list, the service aims to house eligible applicants within 10 working days. Single people are usually allocated shared accommodation initially. Limited numbers of self-contained flats are available but vacancies are rare. Applications for housing families are only accepted via the Local Authority.
Client Services
  • Tenants receive support around maintaining their tenancy, managing bills, homelessness prevention, welfare advice, life skills, social support, leisure interests, healthcare, social networks and applying for grants.
  • Other specialist support can also be provided around specific issues.
  • Eligibility: Single applicants can apply if they are homeless. Examples of what we consider as homelessness include: Rough Sleeping or sleeping in a vehicle Living in a Night-shelter, Hostel or Bed and Breakfast Leaving Prison, Hospital or other institution Staying temporarily with friends or family with no suitable alternative Living in overcrowded or poor conditions Suffering from physical, mental or sexual abuse Suffering racial harassment or abuse Under notice to quit
  • How to Apply: Single People, Appointments for housing applicants are arranged daily on a first come first served basis. Applicants or referrers should telephone in the morning to arrange an appointment for later the same day. Access Restrictions
Exclusions We are unable to offer housing to the following: Persons convicted of a Schedule 1 offence. Persons convicted of Arson. People with pets who are unable to make alternative arrangements for them. Applicants with a current or recent drug/alcohol problem (i.e. within past 3 months)
