Brief Description
The Candle Community Centre is a Christian response to current social needs, problems, and potential of inner city Bristol. The service is organised and offered by The Bristol Citadel Corps of the Salvation Army. We have many volunteers helping us who attend other churches and Christian fellowships in and around Bristol. We offer service with the valuable help and support of many Christian friends and churches. It can be truly said the Candle Project is ecumenical! We try to meet immediate need! To build relationships and create trust! We try to develop a sense of community! We want to offer light to those walking in the darkness! Modern church poets remind us, "Great is the darkness that covers the earth, there's oppression, injustice and pain. There's hopeless despair, there's madness and lies!" Therefore, we reach out in the Lords Jesus' name! Thank you to all who help us to shine!
