- Brief Description
- Bridging the GAP provides a supportive and community based service to enable unemployed people to prepare themselves for work and develop skills relevant to the needs of local employers. At the same time BtG staff, alongside partner organisations, work with local employers to persuade them to fill vacancies with people who are long term unemployed, usually in excess of 18 months unemployed.
- Client Services

- BtG offers a completely free one-to-one personal support at a venue of your choice (agreed with community worker) in order to identify barriers you might be experiencing concerned with access to training and employment.
- They can support you if you are currently not working, have a national insurance number and are aged between 18-64 (59 for women).
- Besides these criteria the key target groups for clients support are as follows: Long term unemployed (24 months +), Members of minority ethnic groups, people aged over 50, lone parents and those with caring responsibilities
- People with learning or physical disability, unemployed people with low basic skills, ex-offenders and those under supervision, alcohol/substance abusers, homeless people, refugees.
